It seems like banksy is doing well for himself, last week his work “Space Girl and Bird” sold for 20 times the estimated, selling for £288,000 by a telephone bidder in the US. Along with the last painting, Banksy sold 3 more paintings £198,000, £75,000, £32,000. Now I just need to find him so I can ask him for some cash, if only we knew his identity.

Graffiti artist Alan Ket has been charged with 14 criminal counts, including trespass, criminal mischief and making graffiti, according to the New York Times. If convicted, he could spend decades in prison and face large financial penalties. One of the more controversial aspects of this case, and ironically the thing that might end up vindicating him, is that the police never caught the writer in action, ever.
As many of you may have heard, a while ago the infamous street artist, Banksy, replaced 500 copies of Paris Hilton’s debut album with fakes in stores all over the UK. The disc itself was replaced by a disc with Paris repeating “that’s hot” over and over. The liner notes were replaced with scandalous photos of Paris and phrases such as “Why am I famous?”.
Another artist, who goes by the name of Vinchen, has also taken it upon himself to throw some shots at Paris. He placed several posters of what is pictured above in a Hilton Resort in Columbus, Ohio. Take that. If you’re staying at the hotel you might as well know what you’re paying for, right?

It dropped this past thursday at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, UK. Kozy and Dan are artists based in LA who come out with some pretty amazing artwork. For those of us who can’t see the show, they’ve provided a small peak of the work. While you’re at it, definitely check out their original artwork.

Imagine a sculpture that can only be measured in thousandths of an inch. Now imagine that piece of work being done by hand. Willard Wigan is the creator of the smallest works on earth, most of which are barely visible to the naked eye. To create his masterpieces he escapes to a retreat in Jersey where he works at night in solitude to avoid static electricity. It can’t be explained, you just need to see it.
